We went to Hawaii for Spring Break and for Uncle Steve's wedding. It worked out perfectly! We had an early morning flight, so we were sleepy before the trip even started. Uncle Steve and Auntie Jen were on our flight too!
Enjoying breakfast.
We sat together for most of the flight.
Lucky us. Each meal comes with chocolate covered macadamia nuts!!!!
Waiting for our checked bag. It's warm out here.
Stopped at Costco Maui for some sushi rolls and tuna poke!
Mom was pretty excited that they sold poke by the pound and in a variety of flavors. Mom got Wasabi Poke. It was very spice. She also got Garlic Shrimp Poke...it was really good! And their California Roll had real crab in it...not krab. Yum.
Dining in Costco.
One of our balconies at the Ritz Carlton. We had room 1318. It was a suite.
Thanks to Auntie Terrie for hooking us up! Loved it!
Here's the "kitchen" and living room. There were dishes and flatware, serving platters, a toaster, coffee maker, microwave, and even a blender. But no cooktop. We were able to make toast and have cereal and Mom cut up fruit for a few breakfasts.
Doing video chat with Auntie CC in the living room, aka Cameron's bedroom.
Bathroom. There was also a shower on the right there.
The bedroom and the second balcony.
At Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment, we stood on the island of Maui. It was the largest map of the islands.
DT Fleming Beach. A very short walk down from the hotel. The waves were a little rough for us.
Okay, not really waves, but you know. Brendan could have been washed away.
Here he is....clinging to Daddy!
Then we went to the pool to test out our snorkel gear and underwater camera.
While waiting for the shuttle, we got to feed the giant koi in the pond by the front driveway. They were really really big and very hungry.
Scattering the fish food.
Like our kukui nut necklaces? The hotel gave them to us when we checked in.
We wanted to eat at Sansei's for dinner, but there was a wait. So we went across the street to the golf course to play. Sansei's was really good (and we didn't have to take the shuttle. Didn't realize it was a 5 minute walk from the hotel) Brendan had Keiki Steak, and I had the Keiki Katsu. Both were really good and a good price for what we got. Delicious. Mom and Dad had the Panko Crusted Ahi Tuna Roll and they really liked that as well. Overall, a pretty good dinner.
Racing
We found these giant palm fronds and pretended to battle each other.
Returning to the hotel at night.
We wanted to test the temperature of the pool...in case we wanted to swim at night one day.
It was pretty windy, but so pretty.
They had a special event going on. It looked so pretty!
