My Dance Team

Striking a pose (well, except me it seems)

Update: Can anyone say...Robert Palmer?

Do I stand out or what?

Mommy sewed a black "tie" on my t-shirt. Don't I look cool? Yeah, me and my girls.

Dance Performance posted!!!

Sorry for the unsteady hand, Mommy forgot the tripod (of course). And it was crazy hot today too...

I only started learning this dance 12 days ago, although pretty intense these first two weeks. Because I'm now on the "rep team", there's no teacher to watch when we do these...all from our little heads!

Dance Team Kickoff Picnic

We went to a picnic for my dance team (well, all the dance teams at my dance school) and had a blast. We didn't really eat much cuz it was at a weird time, but we had some snacks and drinks and stuff. There was a pinata, which was fun, but I let other kids have my candy (I didn't grab that much anyhow). Mom is afraid I'll get too many sugar monsters in my teeth.

I tried to play with the girls on my team, but I only know Sophia and Mikayla from our private lessons (to make up for missed summer dance camp). I also played football with a teammate's older brother. That was fun.

My favorite food in the world (these past few days).....fried egg over rice with soy sauce and a little butter. So delicious. I requested to eat this for breakfast, lunch and dinner...on the same day!!! But Mom only made it for breakfast and dinner. Of course, the next morning....I asked for it again, but we didn't have time to make rice. Bummer.

Kindergarten and all that, plus Auntie CC

This past weekend, Auntie CC came to visit. It was really fun. We rode the trains twice so that was a thrill. And we ate out at nice restaurants, which is always fun. She brought us presents too. Origami paper....I've almost gone thru all of it...yikes. And sticker books and dvds. And chocolate too. I hope Auntie can come and visit us again soon.

Kindergarten is going well. I love my teachers and my new friends. I usually have one sheet of homework...usually practicing my letters or something. It's pretty easy. Mom comes to class on Wednesday to fill our weekly packets and she watches us in class. I like it when Mom comes. We go to the library on Wednesday too. And we learned how to borrow books from the library. I checked out a train book for my brother. We also run around the track everyday. Once around. And then snack time. Mom makes me a pbj sandwich sometimes. Sometimes I ride my scooter to school. I would like to do it on the way home too, but Mommy forgets. She has to pick up Brendan right before me, so it's rushed. Luckily, school is 2 blocks away!

You can read about my hectic schedule here

Dance class has been awesome. Mom watches me from the "window" and she says I always have a giant smile on my face...for the whole hour and 15 minutes! We're performing already...on the 19th! That's less than 2 weeks away. Yikes!

Sharing a room with my brother has been challenging, but we've sorta worked out a system. For naps, I sleep in Mom and Dad's room, and B sleeps in our room. If we didn't nap separately, we'd keep each other awake. But at night, we are usually pretty tired, even though it may take us a while to fall asleep, so we sleep in the same room. It's fun in the morning when I get to wake Brendan up and we tip toe out of our room. But Mom has crazy ears and hears us and runs out to take Brendan to the potty.
