On the ride up...fell asleep with
math workbook in hand and pencil too.
It was awesome. I had 3 half day lessons and loved every minute. Except now I'm exhausted. Like super pooped out.
I'm a level 4+ at Tahoe Donner. I even rode down a few blues. Yeah! We also had lots of fun at Soda Springs, where we skied on magic carpet slopes (for maybe 30 min), then did some tubing, rode a tube carousel with bumps, and even drove, YES, DROVE! a snowmobile. That's right....I can steer!
Going up on the quad chair (and like a pro, too)
After a morning of skiing, B and I are still at it...
So, since our team did such a good job yesterday, Nuvo asked us to come back and perform in the closing show. It's a big honor to be asked! So of course, we were there!
I went to my first dance convention today...and my team and I performed in the competition......and....we won a few awards. First, we got awarded a GOLD level. (there's high gold, gold, high silver, silver and bronze). Then we were awarded 3rd place by score for mini's (age 7's). THEN, we got Best New Group (okay, there were 2 other groups that got this too). But for our very first competition, we did soooooo good. My teacher was super impressed and was floored when she heard the news! I had so much fun today!
We danced to Old Time Rock and Roll (ala Tom Cruise in Risky Business)
