Maui - Day 7

It's the last day in Maui.  Our sunburns are now tans, so off we go to the beach again.  This time, it's Kapalua Bay, right next to Merriman's where Uncle Steve and Auntie Jen got married.

Mom's tent set up is looking better, no?   And this time, we bought Spam Musubi from the Honuloa Store, a few minutes walk from our Hotel.  We had the Musubi for lunch.  It was good and cheap and I could have eaten a few more of them.

Some examples of the "brain" that Brendan saw.  It's really coral.

That's Brendan.  You can tell cuz he's wearing a life jacket.

Pointing at something good....

The snorkeling was pretty good here.  There were lots of fish and many different kinds.  Though, quite hard to see with our camera.

Some pictures of the Ritz Carlton lobby area.

The Ritz is part of the Kapalua Resorts.

A banana tree, right outside the lobby!

Lookie!  Baby pineapples!
This was outside of Sansei's where we ate our last (and first) dinners.

Funny how it grows, no?

Again, it was really really good and since we lined up early (to avoid having to wait) we got in on the "early bird special" - 25% off if we order before 6pm. So of course, we did!  And it was really good.

Panko Crusted Ahi Tuna.  It was so good.

Brendan's Keiki Steak.  It was pretty good too.

The Honolua Store was between the Ritz and Sansei's.  It was sort of a convenience store/deli/ABC store.  It's a good place to get a quick and cheap meal.

Relaxing in the hammock after dinner.

We made these in our "volcano" class at the Cousteau center.

Brendan lost one of his baby teeth on the last night in Maui.  He was proud that he pulled it out all by himself.  The tooth fairy left him an extra special gift for for losing his tooth in Hawaii.
