Food.

We went to dinner at this place called San Pedro Square Market...There's a couple big warehouse type buildings and in them there are food stalls.  There was a French place, serving poutines, and then pizza, another place serving gourmet hotdogs, burgers, etc.  It was pretty cool.  Then there are rooms with big tables for dining.  So we all chose different food stalls, ordered our food and waited.
The food was actually pretty good and we were all happy to have tried different things.  We want to go back.  It's a fun atmosphere.  The pizza was really good.  And we also had duck fat fries...which was really good too.  Later we had a crepe suzette and it was yummy.

Showcase 2014

Before the recital and after the competitions are over, the studio holds a showcase.  It's all the competition routines in one show, just for team family and friends.  Basically, it's the best of the best.
This is my tap routine, Marching On

This is my Hip Hop routine, Fame Game

Beef Wellington a la Gordon Ramsay

So last year, I watched this Gordon Ramsay show called Master Chef Junior.  They made all kinds of delicious looking dishes, but one that really intrigued me was Beef Wellington.  You know, I'm a meat eater.  And despite the fact that it has mushrooms in it, I still wanted to try it.  Apparently, not that many restaurants serve it....so we decided to make it ourselves.

I did my research.  I watched a youtube video of Gordon Ramsay making it and I made notes.  I watched it many times.

Cooking off the liquid in the mushroom paste.

After I seared the beef, I slathered it with some English mustard.

I don't like mushrooms, but in BW, it's delicious!

Waiting...

Golden brown perfection

After I let it rest...let's eat.

Okay, I need some help.

Tadaaa!

Well, except for all the juices.

But oh was it good!

The beef was cooked perfectly and the whole thing was extra yummy!

Jump Convention

This weekend was Jump.  I got back from spring break and here we go again!  Our team did great.  I can't remember what we got, but I did win an award in "Musical Theater"...huh?  I didn't do great in the auditions, but I guess they were taking down numbers (worn on the front of our shirts) during all the classes.  I was surprised and super happy!

Picking up my award!
