Meet Nicholas

Meet our new family member...Nicholas!  We debated changing his name, but so far, we're sticking with Nicholas.  I really wanted Mochi, but eh...we'll see how it goes.  We adopted him from Andy's Pet Shop in San Jose.  They think he's about a year old, but maybe he's two.  Not sure.  He's pretty friendly and curious, but he's only been here 5 days, so he's still trying to figure us out.
Here's his litter box.  Yes, he really does go in the litter box.  He's actually quite good about it.  Rabbit poop looks like black pebbles.  They are hard and dry and not very stinky.  I change the litter box every morning and Mom is proud of me for doing my job well.  I also give him more hay in the morning.

Here you can see he has a two story condo...Dad built this great house.

Yup.  Mom let him on the couch.  He's always cleaning himself, so it's okay.  But Mom did put a washable blanket down first, just in case.  He gets to run around the living room with supervision and he enjoys it a lot.  He doesn't like the hardwood floors because it's slippery, but he likes the carpet and often does his happy dance - these crazy "binkies" or jumps that are super fast.  He eats 1/4 cup of pellets in the morning along with a fresh bowl of water (thanks to Brendan).  He also has unlimited hay.  And in the evening, we've been hand feeding him leafy greens, about a handful.  He's gotten comfortable eating the greens from Mom's lap.  But once he's done, he hops away.

Isn't he cute?

This was in the pet store.  We were spending some time getting to know him and make sure he was going to like being with us.

He's enjoying the attention.

Cute!

Camp Presidio

This year, we spent two nights camping in the Presidio.  It was a lot of fun camping and playing with our friends...oh, and much to the dismay of all the parents, the fire was pretty entertaining....:)  Thanks to Auntie Jen for organizing.  It was awesome.

Let's see...who was there?  Us 4, then Auntie Jen, Uncle Ken, Connor and Lucas, then Auntie Sarah, Uncle Kelvin, Tristan, Logan and Addison...Uncle Ryan and Bella came for one night (they have Baby Julian to get home to)...then Uncle Jarvis, Auntie Irene, and Callan and Ryken....and then Auntie Shan, Uncle Eric, Audrey and Andrew....That meant we had a lot of tents.

Oh, and I brought my guitar.  That flame one isn't mine, mine is next to Dad.  I'm waiting to build the fire.

Hmmm...sticks and fire....

Of course, we made smores over the awesome fire...

I love smores and chocolate and marshmallows...I think I definitely burned a few marshmallows.

Hmmm...looks a little dangerous, no?

Mom is my music stand.  I played a few songs for my "fans".

Breakfast.  Notice the fog.

Ready for the hike...where are we going??

Great group shot of the kiddos. Connor, Audrey, Tristan, Lucas, Ryken, Brendan, Bella, Andrew, Callan, Me and then Lucas.  Addison is not pictured.

Then when the parents sat down for their picture...

Do you know where we are going?

Tristan and I are tired, old men...I even have a cane...er, I mean hiking stick.

On the bridge.  I can't see anything cuz of this fog and I'm tired.

Oh, but I was able to smile for this one.

And definitely not too tired for football...not tired at all.

Please, stop taking pictures.  I'm trying to eat my lunch!

And not tired for soccer...

Did you say walk?  No, now I'm tired.  Let's wait for the bus.

Oh, back to the fire.

And still not tired...I'm gonna give rides!

So happy for the fun memories and the new friends!!!
