Panda Bread

Mom found a recipe online for this panda bread and she made it for me.  She said it wasn't too hard, but the dough was tougher than she expected and it took a while, since the dough has to rise and all.  It still tasted okay.  I had it for breakfast!

Mom wants to try again for better results. I loved it!

Celebrity Dance Competition

This weekend we had another dance competition.  It was called Celebrity Dance and they actually have  a Celebrity Cruise that you can go on.  Well, some kids on the other teams are going, but we didn't want to go.  I also have to mention that it was crazy hot this weekend.  I mean like in the 90's.  I was hot and sweaty just getting my costume on.  Yikes.  It was in San Ramon.  Both our routines got 1st place, one got Gold and the other was High Gold (everyone gets something)

Here we are coming off stage and heading to our dressing room.
Yes, we had a dressing room!  But I didn't go in there....girls, you know.

Brendan is my "groupie"...here he is waiting in the wings...

Happy to have a fan.

I was picked to go and get the awards this time.  Woohoo!

This guy is asking me my name and my dance studio.  I spoke loud and clear.

Later, we went to visit Jenna, Lindsay and Enzo, since we were near their
house.  We played a bit then went to dinner at CPK....then had some yogurt.
Enzo wanted to share with me.  :)

This has NEVER happened.
I fell asleep in the car on the way home.
I got out of the car.
Then fell asleep on the floor.....
I did wake up a little later to take a shower since I was
pretty sweaty and I had lots of hair gel on from the competition.
Seriously.  I've never gotten out of the car
and fallen asleep right away.  I'm usually awake, once I'm awake.

That must've been some competition.

Auntie CC visits....

Auntie CC came to visit us for a long weekend and we had a blast with her.  We ate good food...and she did a lot of shopping.  Brendan and I both had stuff on our schedule though, so we kept her busy.  :)  First, we went to Costco...she wanted to check it out.  Then we had burgers and In-n-Out...my favorite.  Would you believe I ate an entire Double Double.  Oh yes, I did!

After a trip to check out Trader Joe's, Mom and Auntie CC picked up Chipotle...again, my favorite.  I proceeded to eat 2.5 Barbacoa Tacos...I like them spicy!  And then Mom and Dad went out.  And Brendan and I stayed up....Ooops!

The next day was Friday and we were going to go to Happy Hollow...but it was pouring!  So, off to Daiso and Papa Beard (she bought a dozen!!!).   We went to Hot Pot after that and it was good!  Later, Mom and Auntie went to the mall, and we met them later for some French fare at Santana Row.

Saturday, I had chinese school, and Brendan had tball.  Auntie dropped me off at school and went to the farmers market where she picked up some more desserts....and then we went to tball.  Brendan did his thing.  Then we had Korean BBQ - All you can eat!  It was okay, but we'd never been to Palace BBQ and wanted to give it a try.  I like the tofu house we go to more.

Sunday was her last day, so we went to Dim Sum.  Yummo!  Can anyone say Char Siu Bao?  Then she wanted to do MORE shopping.....That's right.  So we dropped her off and off we went to Happy Hollow!  Finally!  Brendan and I had so much fun.  After that, we picked up Auntie and went to Nolan's 4th Birthday party at the trampoline place.  At first, I wasn't that interested in going, I was tired and all.  But, I got there and boy did I jump around.  I was a sweaty kid before long.  Such great fun.  Happy Birthday to my buddy Nolan!

We ended the crazy weekend at Cooking Papa...our new favorite chinese restaurant.  It's busy and crowded, but they cook super fast and lucky for us, no waiting when we arrived.  Whoohoo!  I love that place.  And I guess so did Auntie CC.

Thanks for visiting us Auntie!  We miss you already!  Hope you visit us again soon.

Tahoe with the cousins!

I like skiing, especially with my cousins, Jenna, Lindsay and Enzo.  Jenna and I wish we could go off by ourselves and on the bunny slope, we did!  But that run is super short, so we tried longer runs, but we weren't allowed to ride the chair lift by ourselves cuz it's a long long way to the top.  We had to ride with Mom or Dad or Uncle Chris or Gung Gung.  That's okay.  Jenna and I like to ski together.  She makes nice even turns, so sometimes I'll try to follow her path to practice my turns....but sometimes, she's too slow and I like to go fast.

Here we are, doing a warm-up run on the bunny slope.  I can get on all by myself.

Nice, right?

Here's Gung Gung with me

Gung Gung, me and then Mom

Lunch time was crazy fun.

Brendan, me, Jenna, Mom, and Gung Gung.

See?  Jenna and I on the lift together.  How cool is that?

Being a good big cousin, and helping Lindsay carry all her stuff...

Time to hit the slopes.   We're going all the way to the top!!!!

Jenna, me, Auntie Susan and Uncle Chris too!

Trailing Jenna

Speeding down like a racer!

Time to relax and make sno-balls!

I played some songs (practiced) during some down time.

In the backyard of the rental house, we made a "snowman"

I dug a hole and Enzo and I sat in it.  And covered ourselves with more snow.

Breakfast with the cousins!

Jenna stayed one more night with us, while her parents and Gung Gung and Paw Paw headed home.  We "camped" together in the big TV room downstairs, and had a good time that night, watching movies, eating popcorn and cookies too.  Can't wait til we can hang out again.

On the way to Tahoe, there's a little town called....Cameron Park!
We stopped on the way home to eat lunch there.  They should just add
an "er" and that would be me!

Chevy's Field Trip

My class went to Chevy's for our field trip.  We walked there from school and Mom was a chaperone.  We checked out the kitchen, where they make super fresh salsa, and the fridge.  We learned that Chevy's doesn't use anything from a can and that everything's fresh from the farm...sort of.  We also got to make our own bean and cheese burrito and we had chips and salsa.  Then we got to wait tables....well, we served (or picked up) empty cups to a table of chaperones.  It was funny.
Here I am with some good friends on mine.
Nathan M, Me, Dmitri, Ivan and Jason.

Waiting to make my burrito.

Hiking in Big Basin

When the rains finally stopped, we set out for Big Basin, to hike amongst the redwoods.  It was awesome.  I plan to do this for my birthday.
We're not even on the trail yet, but the trees are impressive, no?

Whoa.

Hollowed out trees make great places to hide.

Look at this funny tree.

Moss covered log

It's like a small house!

Balancing on a slippery log.

Looking up!

Small stream running thru a tree!

This a banana slug.  It's huge.  Almost as long as a real banana.

See how big?

This is the trail we took.

Made it!

Check out the falls!

Slippery Rock

On the way back

I like hiking!
