HK : Ocean Park

We visited HK about 4 years ago, and Ocean Park was the only sight that we repeated for this trip.  It's that fun.  It was pretty windy and chilly that day, but we still enjoyed ourselves.  I especially loved seeing the pandas.

With Uncle Dominic and Brendan.

We're so happy to finally be here.

Panda time.

More panda

Love

Wrote my name

Happy

For my classmates, I got them little panda charms and for my dance friends, enamel bracelets. And I got  my friend Chloe a tiny panda bear for her backpack. (most from Mong Kok and with Mom's fierce bargaining)

HK : Singapore trip

Singapore was hot.  That's pretty much what I remember.  Okay, I'm joking, but it was really hot.  I wasn't too happy about the heat.  We tried to enjoy it.  Tried.

Riverfront.  In darkness, it's much cooler.

Getting ready to eat chili crab.  It was good, and I ate a bunch and
got my hands totally dirty.

At Banana Leaf Apolo, doing as the locals do.  Eating with my hands.
Which I do anyhow, so this was nothing new for me.

Mom did it too.  Our hands smelled like curry for a couple days.
Their butter chicken was amazing.

Henna tattoo time in Little India.

Check out my dragon.  Cool, huh?

Brendan got one too, but his was a butterfly

Mmm...good chicken

Really good chicken and rice.

Ready to hit the Night Safari, but it's still hot.
I'm only wearing pants b/c there might be mosquitos...

Got a light up pandy

To go with my Ben and Jerry's ice cream.  It's almost midnight...

Last show of the night.  It was funny!

I want to do this.  iFly.  But there was a 3 hour wait, so oh well.
They have one in the bay area.

Riding a segway.  Had to do it, wouldn't be able to do this back home!

Very fun indeed.

Luge.  Loved it.  Racing down is awesome.

Ski lift in this weather?

Time to put the brakes on!

Raffles Hotel

At the IBIS, relaxing.

Buddha Tooth Relic Temple.

Extra large prayer wheel.  And it really turns.

How many buddhas in this hall?

Praying for...more pandas.

Chinatown Food Street.  We didn't end up eating here.
There's no A/C on the street.

Brendan and I were begging to go to the beach, so we did.
And we loved every minute of it.  Finally, some retreat from this heat.

Ahhhhhhhhh!

Butterfly garden at the airport.

Nuvo

Nuvo was this weekend and this year, it was much more intense.  We competed on Friday night, so we got that out of the way.  Then, we had 2 full days of workshops and "auditions".  It was pretty long.  So we stayed at the hotel with some other dancers and their Mommies.  Dad and Brendan went home.  B also had a workshop, but it was only 4 hours....mine was about 8 hours a day....

Before the competition.  Mom had to slick my hair back (as best she could)

A few quick run thru's before we go on....

Awards...

We were able to relax after the competition....and look at us in the jacuzzi!
How many kids can it fit?

Diving into the pool

Look, Christina thinks B is a baby!

Me and the ladies...and B too.

At the workshop.  Here, the boys are doing high kicks across the floor.
I'm there in head to toe black...3rd from the left.

I got nominated for Mini Breakout Artist (Boys).  I didn't win, but was
a runner-up.  Still cool.

I had to get on stage when they called my name and "free-style".

I did a bunch of spins and jumps....

That boy holding the paper...he's the winner.

Valentine's Day

In class, we had to write a paragraph about Valentine's Day and here is what I wrote.....
