Airplanes for kids

Dad surprised us and took us to this small aircraft airport where they were holding a big airplane/science event for kids. We got to sit in this little airplane, as well as do a few science projects. We made a rocket out of paper and tape and then launched them! Super cool!

Big propeller

Lookie, how strong!

Looks like a toy, but nope, not a toy.

New pet - Dorothy

So Dad and Mom took us to this church/school fair down the street from our house. It was like a carnival with fried foods and burgers, rides and games. We had a blast riding some of the rides and then Dad let us play some games too. I won a fish by tossing a ping pong ball into a fish bowl. I named my fish Dorothy.

Checking in on Dorothy!

Two wheelin!

Oh yeah! So much good stuff this month! Today, I learned how to ride my bike without training wheels! I am totally two-wheelin it! Awesome!

Mom and Dad were kinda pushing me to get the training wheels off, but, as you know, I am rather stubborn....good thing Mom and Dad are too, cuz they kept on trying. So after much resistance, I did it! And they were right, it's much easier to ride now. I love it!!!!!

SC Art and Wine Festival

Our first performance of the season was the Santa Clara Art and Wine Festival. There are a few more girls and a boy on the team this year. Awesome!

Even though it wasn't a perfect performance, we are much better this year than last year. The teachers are pushing us harder this year, so I think all the practice is really paying off! We were doing the same moves at the same time...mostly. Much better than last year this time. Yay for us!

A picture perfect finish, yeah?

FULLY Potty trained and reading progress

Okay, it took me a long time. A really long time. But I can now sleep thru the night without peeing in a pull-up. Yeah for me! I know, I know, I'm 6 and all. But really, I wanted to make sure for sure for sure, that I could do it. And now it's done! Finally (says Mom and Dad!)

And I can read really really well now. I am enjoying chapter books as well as picture books. I don't have to read those beginner books anymore. My favorite books are still the Magic Treehouse books.

Here I am reading Thomas the Train to my brother at bedtime.

Dance Team Picnic

We had our dance team picnic kickoff party this weekend. It was a lot of fun because I got to interact with all the other teams! And we each got paired with a buddy. My buddy is Miles and he's the other boy on my team. We are good friends already.

Me and Miles

Always ready to volunteer
