Had a really really fun party with ALL of my friends...and I'm talking like 30-something kiddos. Awesome. Totally. The theme was boats...so Mom put a little ferry on my fisherman cake. Dad made these awesome balloon-powered boats for my friends to take home...and play with in the kiddie pool....though lots of people left them...oops. We also had a jumpy house on the front lawn and that was totally fun. My brother and I are not afraid of it anymore. Loved it, but so exhausted from all the jumping. We had pizza and burritos for lunch, with yummy chocolate cake for dessert. It was a hopping party! I loved it. I got lots and lots of legos, and Mom was very surprised I didn't get duplicates...guess there are so very many kinds...yay for me! Lego sets are my favorite, so I'm a lucky boy. :) Though Mom wasn't very happy when she found me and a few friends opening presents....so the first 5 or so gifts...not really sure who gave what...oops, hey, how would I know? Mom's working it out...:)
Oh, another thing not related to my birthday...but we had this lesson at school about art, and we learned about Starry Night, American Gothic, the Mona Lisa and the artists, too. We learned about Picasso and Monet, as well as O'Keefe. I really really loved this lesson. We even drew a copy of the piece (Mom will post pics later when we get them back from school) I wanted to learn about the artist, where they lived, where their paintings were now. Now I really want to go to Europe and see these works of art. Can't wait.
