First Day of Kindergarten

Yay! I'm officially a kindergartener! I woke up nice and early and ate my breakfast and got ready for school. Mom got me a new backpack for my school work. I went to class and we had fun. I made lots of new friends. We had recess outside with the other 5 K classes. And then snack time. Mom packed apples slices and a cheese stick. It was good. My class has two teachers. Mrs T comes on Wednesdays, and then Ms B is there the other days. When Mom came to pick me up, I told her school was fun!


Okay, walking to school, I had to stop with Brendan and check out the sprinklers.

Hey....there's no boat!!!!!

So this morning, I get out of bed and wander into the living room....look out the window and over the water...and I don't see Gung Gung's boat. Is it hiding behind the tree? Where did it go? So right away I run to Paw Paw's room (Gung Gung went back to LA to check up on things there so he's not here now) and tell Paw Paw that the boat is missing. She doesn't believe me until she sees for herself....the boat is GONE!!! We go down to the beach to investigate and lo and behold...the boat has moved down two houses! But the tide is out so the boat is sitting on a bed of oysters. How are we going to move back? I'd come up with several different schemes to get it back...and I kept asking...so what's the plan guys? Anyhow, Clifford, our friend and general handy guy, helped us. When the tide came in enough, he put on his super high wading boots and walked our boat back to our anchor in front of the house. Phew. What a crazy morning!

Side note: Two days ago, we were out picking oysters and digging clams...right near the boat. The tide was out, of course, so we were really right there with the boat. And I did tell Paw Paw, hey...something is wrong with the rope. But Paw Paw didn't think I was near enough to the boat to see it and she knew that Gung Gung had just put on a new rope so it wouldn't be possible that something would be wrong with the rope. But....it wasn't the rope, but the clip that was bad. I was pretty close, no?

Sharing a room

B and I have been sharing a room (with Mommy too) up here in Seattle. Sometimes, we do really well and fall asleep fast....but other times, we are silly and laugh at each other and bother each other. Mommy gets mad at us. Sorry Mom. But it's fun! Hopefully, when we get home, we'll be better. Our schedule here is all crazy. Our naps are late (3pm) and bedtime is late (1030pm)....I hope I can adjust....school starts at 8 in the morning!!!!!

The other day, we went fishing at this sandy beach a several miles from our house. Usually, we can catch sand dabs and cabazons....but this time....I got superfreaked when this boat went by and made "huge" waves (they weren't that big) and I cried and cried. We went home right after, so Paw Paw only caught 3 fish. Which we used for crab bait.

Today, though, we went to dig for clams and oysters, right in front of the house. Instead of digging though...I splashed water, chased the Canadian geese, and snatched up little baby crabs with my bare hands!!!! I was totally dirty/muddy when we got back to the house, so I got hosed! It was cold! Brrrrr!

Legos

I like doing legos. I have these little sets with instructions on how to make different ones, and I am pretty good at following the instructions. They each come in a little plastic box and there are 3 different cars I can make...though not at the same time. It's pretty good fun.
